The National Youth Science Foundation is pleased to announce selection of delegates representing five counties to the West Virginia Youth Science Camp (WVYSC).

The WVYSC is a new summer science honors program for two talented rising tenth grade students from each West Virginia county. Modeled after the National Youth Science Camp, the WVYSC will be held at the Cedar Lakes Conference Center near Ripley, and will integrate a broad science curriculum with traditional summer camp recreational activities.

The WVYSC was established with the help of the West Virginia Department of Education and Dr. Jorea Marple, West Virginia State Superintendent of Schools. Ms. Allison Greenberg, a former Assistant Director of Operations and Programming for the National Youth Science Camp and Associate Director of Programs and Alumni Relations for the National Youth Science Foundation, will direct the new program.
