Thanks to everyone who has submitted comments about the value of international students in the Foundation’s science education programming. The good news is that the immediate crisis has been averted. “You have generated such a fantastic response from participants today that I know management here will pay more attention to you and the camp.” – response from our program coordinator at the State Department.

Now, there is still work to do, so if you haven’t yet sent a response to our plea, please consider doing so. The more the better!

Each year the National Youth Science Foundation receives funding through the United States Department of State – Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and our embassies throughout the world. This funding is in jeopardy and we need your help immediately.

ECA has requested information about the value of international participation in the National Youth Science Camp or other programs offered by the Foundation (Youth Science Leadership Institute or the North American Youth Science Leadership Institute). • Impact of the program on your attitude (toward the U.S., global perspective, etc.),
  • Impact of the program on your personal behavior (education or career goals and objectives).

If you want to see our federal funding continued, please send comments that address the above to and . Please include your name, country, program (NYSC, YSLI, NAYSLI), role (delegate/staph), and year(s). Thanks!
